Before it became a joint CNRS-Paris Diderot research team in 2014, LARCA was a university team (EA 4214), based on a long tradition of interdisciplinary research on the English-speaking world that goes back to the foundation of University Paris 7 and its English Department (known as Institut Charles V) in 1969.
